Good Morning! Today I am going to be showing you all my new woven roman shades by Select Blinds that we just installed! First, I want to say how happy I am with how they turned out. I have been wanting roman shades since we moved in over a year and a half ago. However, I could never make the decision on which color to choose. Plus, I wanted to find an affordable option and I was stuck on this one color from a more expensive brand that we really couldn’t afford.
Finally, I decided I just need to take the leap and just choose one I knew I would like. So, we landed on these gorgeous woven shades in Jute Wheat from Select Blinds (they are in the Designer Series Woven Wood Shades). I was worried that because they are such an affordable option that they would look cheap, but I was so wrong! They are absolutely beautiful in person and very well made. We got the ones with the cordless lift which was a must have with a toddler and potential future toddlers (Ha!).
The Before
Here are the before pictures. We added casing around the windows several months ago, knowing that it was a must have with woven roman shades to make them pop! I will go into the window casings and how we installed that ourselves in another post (but it was a super easy and a relatively cheap project!).

So now onto the process on ordering and installing. You can order up to 15 samples for free, which is what I did. I went through them all and narrowed them down to 3… I *liked* all of them, but I didn’t *love* any. So then I went to Instagram and searched the #selectblinds. I found a couple pictures of one color that I loved and didn’t get a sample of – Jute Wheat! So I quickly ordered a sample of the woven roman shades in Jute Wheat. Once I received it I knew it was the one. So I ordered my blinds within 10 minutes of getting the sample in the mail!

The Install and End Result OF our Woven Roman Shades
The shades arrived pretty quickly (within 8 days) and were in great shape when they arrived. We installed them that evening. I was so excited to get them up! I knew they would transform the living room and make it feel much more warm and cozy.
Installing was super simple, they provide you screws and you just screw them into the top on the window frame (if inside mounting, which is what we did). All you need for this project is a drill and some muscles. Honestly, the hardest part was holding the shade up and making sure it was even side to side. Plus not moving it while the hubby was using the drill to screw the screws in. Those suckers got heavy real quick, but I also hate lifting weights so that is a huge contributor as to why I’m such a weakling- ha! It took about an hour and a half to install 6 windows and then Ta-dah! Living room transformed!

I would absolutely recommend using Select Blinds. Their quality is absolutely amazing for being so reasonably priced! They have so many colors and styles to choose from. You can find almost any type of shade you’re looking for. If you have any questions about these woven roman shades or the install let me know. Happy to help in any way!
