I hope y’all are having a great Wednesday! This last week I worked on putting my Christmas tablescape together. I am so excited to show you how it turned out! I just love decorating for Christmas! This year is extra fun because I have this blog as an outlet to get even more creative with my decorations and design.
I always have a centerpiece on my table, no matter what time of the year or season it is. However, I rarely have the whole shebang! This year, I decided to do it all: table runner, garland, candles, china, gold silverware, cloth napkins and a pop of color with berries! I absolutely love how it turned out and I hope you do too! If anything, I hope it helps you come up with ideas for your own tablescape!
Centerpiece
Centerpieces are super easy to put together. So if this post is intimidating, don’t let it be! You don’t need to do a whole tablescape. Just focus on a centerpiece and your table will have a whole new feel, as will your dining room. It’s amazing how even a simple centerpiece can add so much warmth and texture to a dining room and table.
For my centerpiece this year I wanted a flowy, non-traditional look. So I went with a curtain instead of a table runner. This curtain is a sheer linen curtain from Amazon! It is actually cheaper than a lot of table runners and I just love the look. I love how it’s flowy and chunky. It adds so much texture to the table. Tell me what you think about it in the comments. I’d love to hear your thoughts!
Then, I just put this garland from Target on top of the table runner (curtain) and added some small red berry sprigs to it. Plus, to add some height I added mismatched gold candle stick holders (these were not new this year, but I added a link to some that are super similar!). I just love how the entire centerpiece turned out, and it was so easy to throw together!
Table Setting
I don’t know if it’s just me, but doing the table setting is so hard! I can never figure out which way looks best! There are so many options with table settings. For example… do you like the napkin in between the plates or with a napkin ring on the top? Do you like the silverware on the sides of the plate or on top of the plates? And not only that, but you also have to think of how to make it look less plain. Which is why I ended up adding the berries – so it didn’t look so boring! Now you can see why I think place settings are so much more complicated than the centerpiece. The two options I was deciding between are below. I ended up choosing the second one, but I really like how they both turned out!
So here is what I went with… The green cloth napkins are from the Hearth and Hand collection at Target. The berries are from Target as well! They were a great price and came with 40 sprigs, so I plan to use them in other areas of my house too. The china plates were my Grandma’s and I am so happy they went so well with this Christmas tablescape this year! I love when I get to use them. And the gold silverware is just such a pretty touch!
I hope you enjoyed seeing about how I did my Christmas Tablescape! Have a great day!
