Our Bathroom Remodel is starting tomorrow and I’m SO EXCITED! And a little nervous…ha…but mostly excited! It just kind of hit me today that nap time might be hard for the next few weeks because of all the construction noise! I’m hoping for the best but it’s probably going to be a rough month or so! I know it will go by fast in the end though and it will all be worth it. Today I’m sharing my Bathroom Design Plan and the items that I ended up ordering!
It has been pretty hard for me to make decisions through this whole design process. I’m an Interior Designer and help people make these decisions all the time. I’m actually very confident and decisive when I am working on other projects. But for some reason, with my own house, it has been hard for me to make a decision! I think I just want to make sure I am making the right decisions but I’m overthinking everything. There is just too much out there and sometimes I go down a Pinterest rabbit hole and keep seeing more and more ideas. It can be so hard to decide on a design direction when there are so many great options out there. But at some point you really just need to pick something and stop looking, because you could keep looking forever. So that is what I finally did this week. I made up my mind and placed my final orders!
Something that really helped me make my final decisions, was laying out the design board below. It helps to see everything together so you can see what is missing and what looks good together. I was worried that the design was starting to feel a little too basic and boring. Laying it all out helped me see what I was missing – color! I found this colorful boho shower curtain and feel like it will add so much to this room! I also plan on having some hanging plants in here, and a few on a shelf, so those will add some color and life to the room as well. Now that I see it all together I am really loving the whole look and I’m so excited to get started!

For some reason, one of the hardest items to select was the vanity light. I wanted something unique and fun, but not too crazy. We have black accents in the bathroom with the plumbing and cabinet hardware but I liked the idea of mixing metals with the light and adding in a touch of gold. I love this light that I ended up selecting and am so excited to see it in person! Below are a few more options that I considered and love.
